Mustang Special Utility District (SUD) is a local governmental entity providing water and water reclamation utility service in Denton, Collin, and Grayson Counties of North Texas. They are the largest Special Utility District in Texas and in one of the fastest growing areas of the country, comprised of over 36,000 connections over 220 square miles.
The District’s General Manager serves as agent of the Board of Directors, and as the District’s Chief Executive Officer to ensure that services and operations are delivered in an efficient and effective manner. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager of Administration, the Financial Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting staff within the Finance Department to ensure tasks are completed both accurately and promptly.
Mustang Special Utility District seeks an experienced, visionary leader with pro-active problem-solving skills to serve as its next Financial Services Manager. Strong financial expertise and analytical skills are vital for the next Financial Services Manager. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, and at least three years’ progressively responsible professional experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered. A proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Candidates must have a valid class “C” Texas divers license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
Mustang SUD offers a salary range of $100,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
