DESCRIPTION:
This position will primarily travel in the central part of California. The role for this position is to support the Association’s goals and objectives by coordinating technical assistance and training with other circuit riders, program managers, administrative staff and the utilities we serve. The Circuit Rider is required to travel to systems working onsite on a variety of issues ranging from a plant operations and/or compliance issue to assisting in day to day operations challenges. This position requires strong general knowledge in utility operations and management and the willingness to find an answer when a challenge is outside the Circuit Riders’ range of knowledge.
Other typical duties and responsibilities will/can include:
· Overnight travel on a regular weekly basis
· Travel & Training planning
· Emergency response in case of natural disasters
· Weekly and monthly activity reports
· Promotional activities for functions and trainings
· Planning weekly travel
EDUCATION & LICENSING:
A current Grade 2 Water Treatment and/or Distribution certification or higher with preference given to those holding certificates at the Grade 3 levels in both. All candidates must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
OTHER SKILLS OR ATTRIBUTES ARE:
· Team player
· Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications such as word and power point and outlook.
· Great communication skills both written and verbal.
· Dynamic and Positive can do attitude.
· Ability to work independently without supervision.

· Comfortable in limited public speaking in a formal training environment or at a board meeting.

· Knowledgeable about the state and federal infrastructure loan and grant programs.
· Ability to research issues and challenges as they might apply to systems operation and management.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
CRWA provides competitive salary and benefits. Retirement is paid by employer and fully vested after 1 year of employment with the association. Our medical insurance is paid 100% for the employee and picks up 2/3 of the cost of family insurance, dental and vision are provided and paid by the employer as well.
